This was supposed to be a simple sub plan. It turned into a kindergarten masterpiece moment. My students started by drawing a big goofy cartoon T Rex and outlining it with a chisel tip Sharpie while I was out. Easy win. No stress. Just bold lines and big dinosaur energy. When I came back the next week, we leveled it up. I introduced different paintbrush techniques and we practiced brush control as they painted their T Rex and backgrounds. The goal was not perfect.
