It involves the occipital nerves, which run from the area where the spinal column meets the neck, up to the scalp at the back of the head. 🟠 suboccipital or occipital neuralgia - These these are typical movements, both strengthening and stretching moves, that may help with symptoms. It's okay to stretch the front of the neck and side muscles. Neck retractions, as I've talked about at length and other videos, is a good strategy whether standing or lying on your back. 🟡 occipital neuralgia. This is a nerve gliding movement that may be helpful in some cases. There are other exercises to try but I am highlighting this movement and this exercise in this video.
