Today marks the 130th anniversary of Yiddish writer Hinde Esther Kreitman, the sister of Nobel laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer. While she, unfortunately, did not receive recognition for her work as a writer during her lifetime, she was a pioneer in the field, one of the founders of modern women's Yiddish literature.
