This slightly upscale #BSR came in with a warped platter mat and really locked up. Tonearm sticky, gear stuck, platter stuck. Luckily we were able to get the spindle out with a little bit of heat and then some degreaser and heat to remove the platter. You have to be careful with the plastic platters but this one is metal. I don't know what it is with the mats on these but they are easily warped. I suspect some were left in the sun but some of them may just be shrinking from old age. It was unsal
