This past Sunday, April 8, Batman’s beloved butler Alfred Pennyworth celebrated his birthday. While no one knows exactly how old the character actually is, it’s a cause noteworthy cause nonetheless.

Of course, this notion has led to Gotham producers Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon to create a new series that focuses on an even younger version of Alfred, an original Epix series called Pennyworth.
